INTRO

I am a mystic, by this I mean that I enjoy pondering on philosophy, abstracts and time, so perusing possibilities of what is to come is one of my passions. Future of Futures is basically a log of my thoughts on trends, events and innovations of the present that could develop our future. The subjects will be vast ranging–from space exploration to economics. I am also dabbling in online money making, affiliate marketing–which I see as an important future trend –and will be using this site as a platform to test the efficacy of this trending income generator. ~Guhanathawswami 


The Future of Futures
I believe we are living in the future. If we went back a century ago–1915 albeit World War One underway, we would still be in the heady days of amazing discoveries in science that were spawning an innovation revolution. Humankind was excited, learning about how to manipulate the forces and materials of nature like never before. Consider that we had been using horse carriages and bullock carts as the main modes of transport for centuries before; then an explosion in types and pace of innovation catapulted us to where today flying around the globe, let alone into space or the convenience of palliative relief by popping pills are stuff we don't give a second thought to. Yet the unrelenting passing of time simply means that a future beckons, thus a future within a future. To me these are amazing times to be living in, for it is a period in human history where the future of our planet really rests in simple decisions each of us make day to day. It is time we took stock of the power that innovations and information has put in our hands. The future is indeed ours to shape.
